He’s played numerous principle roles with many of London’s leading small opera companies including Tamino (Magic Flute) and Bob Boles (Peter Grimes) for LCM, Goro (Madame Butterfly) for HGO, Alfredo (Die Fledermaus) for SCO, Remendado (Carmen) for WLO, and Albert and Mr Upfold (Albert Herring) for Co-opera. With AIMS Jezz has performed The Magician (The Consul), Mr Upfold (Albert Herring), Eisenstein (Die Fledermaus), 1st Commissaire (Carmelites) and Charlie (Mahagonny Songspiel) .
With Unexpected Opera he played Count Almaviva in the hugely popular 18-month tour of their English adaptation of The Barber of Seville, followed by Orpheus and Mercury in their tour of Orpheus in the Underworld during 2010. Following on from appearing as a tenor soloist in Merry Opera’s staged Messiah in the winter of 2010, Jezz featured as one of the tenor soloists in a revival of Unexpected Opera’s sell-out tour of A Pastoral Messiah. Jezz was delighted to work with a number of top industry coaches and directors on the Associated Studios Opera Course in 2013. In 2015 Jezz had the great pleasure of again performing Remendado (Carmen) at the stunning cliff-edge Minack Theatre in Cornwall with New Cornwall Opera.
Since then Jezz has twice been engaged to perform Marco (Gondoliers) and performed in a variety of productions, including reprising the role of Mr Upfold, The Mayor, in Britten’s marvellous Albert Herring, and Remendado for ALGSS. Jezz is regularly engaged to sing at private and corporate functions and is in demand as a concert and oratorio soloist. Jezz trained with celebrated Australian Tenor Anthony Roden.
